J: Walk faster.

Sirius chuckled as he walked out of the portrait hole.

Amy was sat on a chaise lounge, awkwardly pulling at the burgundy dress she was wearing. It was a tea dress, with pale flowers on it. It felt weird to wear a dress, but she'd felt like it today. Her hair was dead straight and ash blonde.

It looked like this.

James and Remus trotted downstairs. As soon as the latter saw Amy, he turned slightly pink, and subconsciously wet his lips and rubbed them together.

A: Oh. Hello. I mean good morning.

She tucked her hair behind her ear.

R: Hi. Morning.

J: Woah, Amy's being a girl!

James walked over and flicked the shoulder of her dress.

R: She's always been a girl, James. You look really pretty today, Amy.

He said shyly, looking through his eyelashes at her.

Amy swallowed, feeling again the trails of fire on her back and waist.

A: Thanks, Lupin.

She tugged at the skirt again and looked around.

A: Where's Sirius?

J: Still sleeping/

A: He had a hard day yesterday.

She snickered.

Remus let out a snort of laughter, and had to cover his mouth to stop himself.

J: Hardly surprising he isn't awake yet, he was up late last night.

Amy cringed.

Sirius walked down the stairs.

A: Morning.

J: Nice to see you've risen at last - not that you had any trouble last night.

S: Will you leave it!

He subconsciously tugged his shirt down a bit.

J: Sorry, I know you'll be finding it hard to be around us today. Can you handle being near Evangeline without her handling you?

S: She kissed me alright! I swear.

A: Sure. Just don't be too hard on her today.

J: Keep your spirits up - and nothing else.

S: I'm done with this!

He walked out.

A: Someone is acting a little wooden today.

J: Sirius is something up? You're being a little stiff with me this morning!

Called James as he jogged after his friend. Remus looked shyly at Amy.

R: Shall we go down?

A: Sure.

It didn't count. It was nothing.

She stood up.

R: I like your dress.

He said sheepishly as he walked to the door with her.

R: Suits you.

A: Thank you. I like it too.

She was carefully avoiding his eyes.

R: You look really pretty.

Shit, had he said that already?

A: You said that.

She was too close to him, their arms were touching. She tried to fight it, but her hair had begun to tighten into ringlets.

Remus noticed immediately. Curls, curls like last night, the curls he'd wrapped around his finger and played with. They were resting on the cheek that last night he'd cupped as he'd kissed her, while his other hand had touched her waist and oh lord stop thinking about it!
