RP Gryffindor Common Room

James nodded at her like an excited nodding thing. Like a Churchill nodding dog if you went over a speed bump.

J: Go ahead, open it!

Remus smirked at Amy.

She opened it, excited.

Amy mumbled.

A: I have so lost that bet...

James watched as the earrings he had got her came into sight. They were little glass ones, shaped like potion bottles, with little labels that said 'Felix Felicis', filled with delicate gold powder to look like the potion itself.

Remus nudged Amy and rubbed his thumb against his fore and middle fingertips, mouthing 'kaching'.

Lily let out a soft gasp, taking the earrings from their box and admiring them. They shone in the light from the windows, the powder representing the potion so well, it even twinkled in the way that Liquid Luck was said to. She put them on, and turned her head so that the others could see.

A: They're gorgeous.

Amy remarked.

R: Very nice. When did you get them, James?

J: Oh, you know, just... I dunno...

He scuffled one foot on the floor bashfully.

Lily planted a kiss on James' cheek, which was definitely blushing pink.

L: I love them.

Amy 'aww-ed'.

Remus gave James a thumbs up, although he seemed dazed at her kiss.

J: I'm glad.

She nodded.

L: Anyway, I have to go... promised Kate that I'd deliver a letter for her.

Lily ran out of the room, smiling.

A: You absolute lady-killer!

J: Did I come across as arse-y in any way?! Was I okay?!

Amy shook her head.

A: You charmed me, and I wasn't even getting earrings.

Remus reached over and grabbed Amy's hand jealously.

R: You were great, James.

James just sat and beamed at nothing in particular.

A: Hey, when did you buy those, Potter?

She asked, trying to recall him sneaking off on a Hogsmeade visit.

J: Remember when I told you I was buying those Wicked Witch magazines?

Amy slapped her forehead with her palm, laughing.

A: I knew it!

She rolled her eyes.

A: You are so cute.

R: You still had the magazines th-

He went quiet. James smirked.

J: Adorable. And manly.

A: Yes because looking at those semi-naked nymphs in that magazine makes you macho-man, does it?

She tutted at her friend, but smiled.

J: Yeah. Remus does it, too!

R: Shhh!

Amy whirled round to look at Remus, incredibly shocked. Her eyes fell on James again. With an indignant huff, she changed her appearance, brought in her waist, allowed her hair to grow a few inches and wave like it was underwater.

A: You find this sexy?

James licked his lips, Remus' eyes popped out of his head.

R: Well... generically...

A: Men are pigs!

She cried, changing back to her usual appearance, but feeling disheartened. Maybe skinnier was sexier after all.

R: That's better.

Remus said breathily.

With an annoyed groan, she turned on the two of them.

A: If I ever find one of those magazines in your dorm, I will mail it to your mothers.

J: ...You wouldn't.

R: I don't buy them, James does!

A: I don't care who bought them.

She looked haughty and crossed her arms.

R: Amy... Don't be angry at me. They're conventionally 'sexy' but they're nothing compared to you...
you.
