Amy looked at Evangeline and frowned.

Evangeline smiled at Amy, weakly. Dahlia couldn't keep the beam from her face.

D: Cutie.

S: It's no secret.

He winked at her and reached over to touch her knee.

Amy hid behind Remus to stifle her giggles.

Remus patted Amy's hand, nodding to Evangeline, who looked genuinely upset, though she was valiantly trying to hide it. When Sirius touched Dahlia's knee, Evangeline crossed one of hers over the other, just to show them off a bit more. Dahlia had stumpy legs.

Millie glared at Sirius' hand, then at him with an expression that said "I'mma hit you".

M: Don't worry, I've heard her nickname is Bigfoot. Just ignore him, he's too used to getting what he wants.

She whispered to Evangeline.

Evangeline giggled very quietly, glancing at Dahlia's feet.

M: It's like having bear paws for feet...

Yeah, that's right, revel in Dahlia's snort-squeak while Evangeline was over there laughing like an elegant princess. Go on then.

Sirius noticed this but it didn't process. He continued grinning at Daliah.

S: Are you excited for the concert?

He looked up from under his lashes.

Amy giggled again.

James snorted at this.

R: Oi, Black Beauty, stop pouting.

Dahlia giggled.

D: So excited!

Sirius ignored his friends.

S: Will you look as good as you do today.

Amy pressed her face into her hands.

Remus rolled his eyes.

D: No guarantees.

Dahlia was pink. Evangeline was white.

Millie looked on in horror. She reminded herself to beat Sirius up later, and then tell Regulus to beat Sirus up too. Actually, no, because one of them would probably end up dead. Then she inwardly slapped herself for allowing Regulus to work his way into her thoughts yet again when Evangeline was obviously in distress. Focus!

Evangeline looked to Millie, just to stop herself from looking at Dahlia, who was preening and tittering.

Sirius laughed.

S: Bet you a galleon!

Amy looked at him, then Evangeline.

Evangeline tucked her hair behind her ear, rolling her eyes discreetly at Sirius' bet.

D: Deal!

Dahlia held her hand out for him to shake.

Sirius shook her hand, holding on for a fraction longer than needed, smiling.

A: So...

Evangeline's lips tightened.

E: I think I'd better go and start some homework.

M: Bet you a galleon he has to pick his jaw up off the floor when he sees you.

She murmured to Evangeline.

M: Ass, even more than the other one...aw, no, Evangeline.

E: No, really, I want to do some extra notes in preparation for astronomy tonight.

M: Okay...I don't suppose you want company?

E: Perhaps.

M: Okay.

She offered Evangeline a slight smile and stood up, extending her hand to her friend to help her up.

Evangeline stood gracefully, smiled at everyone, and waved slightly.

E: See you in astronomy.

She left with Millie.

Amy watched them leave, then looked at the remaining boys and Daliah. Great.

Remus poked Amy's side.
