M: ...Nothing else you wanted to say to me? Nothing cool you wanted to show me?

R: Nothing.

He suppressed a smile.

M: ...You sure?

She looked deflated.

M: Positive?

R: Positive. Run along.

Millie's shoulders seemed to droop as she turned away.

M: See you at dinner then. Err, not really.

She walked away from him, considerably less confident than before.

R: Bye.

He called and left.

(Approximately what time is it? Cos if they're having dinner then I wanna do the broom thing so Regulus can be all pissy the next day)

Amy sat down opposite Lily, who looked vaguely annoyed.

A: Hi. Sorry about earlier.

L: Yeah...

Amy took a few sausages and put them on her plate.

Remus sat beside Amy. He didn't want James or Sirius or Peter getting there first. Not that he was jealous or anything.

R: He really is try, Lily.

L: Well. Good.

Amy looked at her, sympathetically.

Sirius sat next to Remus, grinning. It didn't reach his eyes.

Not wanting to interrupt what appeared to be an intense conversation, Millie sat down silently and pursed her lips as she contemplated what to eat.

Amy smiled at Millie.

A: Hey!

M: Hi!

She offered Amy a bright smile then decided on some roast chicken and mashed potatoes. (nom)

A: What were you doing today after Hogsmeade, then?

Millie didn't meet Amy's gaze.

M: Oh, not much, really. Just did some homework.

J: Hi, Evans.

James winked as he got himself some sausage and mash.

R: Which subject?

Evangeline entered. Her shields were most certainly back up, but to the untrained eye, there was something different about her. The shutters weren't completely closed; to those who had never seen them open wouldn't be able to tell, but to those that had, a sliver of her innocent vulnerability was clearly visible.

E: Hello, everyone.

S: Hi.

Sirius didn't look at her. Too engrossed in his dinner, apparently.

Lily blushed.

L: Hello James.

M: Defense Against the Dark Arts. No! Arithmancy, sorry.

She looked up and smiled when Evangeline entered, then scooted over to make room for her.

M: Hello! Saved you a seat. Well, my butt did, technically.

J: Good day?

Evangeline glanced at Sirius and smiled, then went quietly to her meal.

E: Thank you, Millie. I appreciate it.

M: No problem.

Millie nudged Evangeline's leg under the table when she caught the discreet smile in Sirius' direction, but she said nothing.

L: I suppose.

Lily wasn't eating, instead she was pushing her chicken around on her plate.

Amy's arm knocked Remus'. She didn't address it.

A: Evangeline... Did you have a good day today?
