J: Tell that to my many friends who don't sneer when I leave.

R: Actually Sirius does that sometimes.

J: Shut it.

Remus gasped when Amy got splinched, taking one long stride towards her and taking her hand.

R: Are you alright?

J: Pity they don't have the brains to find someone worthwhile.

Jasmine apparated away, inch by inch.

James held his finger up at her, then went to Amy.

J: You can grow it back, right?

Amy squeezed her face up, and long tendrils snaked from her scalp.

A: Ow.

She stared at the pile of hair on the floor, and used her wand to make it disappear.

A: Don't do that.

She looked at Remus' hand, and stepped back, awkwardly.

Remus smiled sheepishly.

R: Sorry/

She smiled, but her brow was furrowed. She didn't really want to try and apparate again, so she settled to watching Peter, who was already picking up speed.

J: Okay this is beginning to piss me off.

James looked like he was trying to lay a poo.

S: Look at me, Prongs!

He moved several centimetres left.

A: You stepped.

S: Did not!

This was very impressive, considering the fact that Sirius didn't do apparition.

(He does now can't be bothered shut up)

Millie let out a whoop -- she had moved from the right of Sirius to the left of him, then squeaked when someone nearby apparated onto her foot.

James smothered a chuckle.

Evangeline glared behind Sirius' back. He'd gone just slightly further than her. She raised her hand to summon Mr Splindly, who apparated over to her.

CS: Yes, Miss Loveridge?

E: I was just wondering how I can get further than a few centimetres? It's simple to picture something just a little away from where you are, how do I get to, say, the other side of the room? Or even just a few metres?

CS: Hm... if you want to get further, I'd suggest vividly picturing where you want to end up. Try it for me? Not too far away, mind.

E: Alright.

She closed her eyes lightly, took a deep breath, and pictured herself a few metres away from where she was, where she wanted to end up, exactly where she wanted to be. She felt herself apparate, opened her eyes, and found herself directly in front of Sirius. As she was so surprised, all she could do was raise her eyebrows and take a wobbly step back in her daze.

E: I-

S: Oh uh.

He stepped back a few paces and looked at the floor.

A: Oh God.

She whispered to Remus.

In the midst of it all, even Millie had paused to watch the scene with her mouth half-open.

M: Did that just...

She whispered to Amy, trailing off.

R: We could cut the sexual tension with a butterknife.

Evangeline took another shuffling step back.

E: I didn't mean to, um... I was meant to end up over there.

She pointed.

S: Right, yeah.

His sullen look was replaced, and for some reason, he was sniffing deeply, looking a bit confused.

CS: Is that where you were meant to end up?

E: No!

CS: Are you sure you weren't thinking of ending up near Mr Black?

E: No, no, no!

CS: Not on any level?

E: No!

A: Butterknife?

She looked at the two, grimacing.

R: Butterknife.

He whispered, watching an Evangeline turned slightly and started walking back to her starting point.

E: I'll try again...

She murmured. Closing her eyes again, she focused on anywhere but Sirius - just a little way from him. When she felt the tug behind her belly button and opened her eyes, she saw that she was not facing Sirius - phew! Taking a step back to appreciate where she was, she bumped into something: Sirius.

Sirius pinched the bridge of his nose and stepped away from her.

A: Awkward.

Sirius took another step back.

Millie snorted into her hands, trying to stifle her giggles. She knew it! She'd been right!

Evangeline actually fell back a little when he moved away, having lost her support.

E: Wah! Who was-

She turned around and saw Sirius standing there.

E: ...I swear it's an accident.

James was openly laughing at the screen, which made Evangeline go deep red. Remus put a hand to his mouth.

R: Do they think they know they like each other?

J: They've only known each other a day!

R: Attraction is a natural phenomenon. They can't escape the magnetism.

A: You'd know?

R: Well... I've heard rumours.

Evangeline moved away again, one hand on her burning cheek, bright red.

M: He's certainly not spinach!

Millie giggled again, having to clamp a hand over her mouth to keep from bursting out in laughter.
