S: She had to use the little witches room!

He smiled.

S: You know girls, with their... Bathrooms....

He trailed off.

R: So when she's done in the bathroom, you're telling me she'll be right back?

Sirius looked at James again, annoyed with the lack of help.

S: Er... Yes?

J: Maybe with a slight detour...

S: Slight, very slight... detour.

He looked at the ceiling.

R: You don't know where they are, do you?

J: Speaking for myself only, no. Not a clue.

S: No idea.

Sirius grimaced.

S: Sure it'll all be fine though

Remus put his head on the table and was silent. James slowly reached over and grabbed a crumpet.

Sirius patted Remus awkwardly on the back, as he was unsure of any other comforting methods.

James offered a crumpet, but it was declined.

Sirius took the crumpet.

Alas, there was no butter in sight.

S: Do you want to do something?

R: Talk my girlfriend. Is she still my girlfriend? Are we in limbo? Is this romantic purgatory?

S: You're on a break.

He suggested.

(I was waiting for that)

Remus looked as if he might cry again, until James shoved a crumpet in his face.

J: Don't cry; crumpet.

S: She'll get over it.

He insisted.

J: She has to, how else would she get her fix of jumpered nerd?

R: Thanks, guys.

S: Give her a day. I fact, I bet it'll be geeky kisses and cuddles by sundown.

He smiled encouragingly.

Remus still looked slightly mopey, but smiled for his friends.

S: Are we gonna sit here all morning?

J: By this point it might be afternoon for all I know.

S: It's not.

He shifted uncomfortably.

James looked around awkwardly. Few people were left in the hall by this point - although across the room, on the Slytherin table, sat Jasmine, Regulus, and Snape.

Sirius was not looking at his brother, on purpose.
